Ingredients:

Cake:

* 1/2 cup almond flour
* 1/4 cup coconut flour
* 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
* 2 tsp baking powder
* 1/4 tsp salt
* 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
* 1/4 cup erythritol sweetener (or your preferred low-carb sweetener)
* 3 large eggs
* 1/2 cup heavy cream
* 1 tsp vanilla extract

Frosting:

* 8 oz cream cheese, softened
* 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
* 1/2 cup powdered erythritol sweetener
* 1 tsp vanilla extract
* 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (optional)

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line two 6-inch round cake pans.
2. In a medium bowl, whisk together almond flour, coconut flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
3. In a large bowl, cream together butter and sweetener until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
4. Alternately add the dry ingredients and heavy cream to the wet ingredients, beginning and ending with the dry. Mix until just combined.
5. Divide batter evenly between prepared pans and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
6. Let cakes cool completely in pans before frosting.

Frosting:

1. In a large bowl, cream together cream cheese and butter until smooth. Beat in sweetener and vanilla extract until light and fluffy.
2. For a chocolate frosting, add unsweetened cocoa powder and mix until desired color and consistency is reached.

Assembly:

1. Place one cake layer on a serving plate. Spread a generous layer of frosting over the top. Gently place the second cake layer on top.
2. Frost the top and sides of the cake with remaining frosting. Decorate with fresh berries, chopped nuts, or sugar-free chocolate shavings, if desired.

Tips:

* For a richer flavor, use coffee instead of water in the cake batter.
* Chill the cake for at least 30 minutes before serving for a firmer texture.
* This cake can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
